About the Author

Hi, I'm Jayson and the Author of this travel site. My real life job is a teacher. I have a B.S. degree in Physics and a Masters in Education.

During my summers, winter breaks, and weekends I travel. I soon realized I've been to more places than most people. So, I decided to aid fellow travelers by sharing what I've learned. After all, I'm a teacher by trade!

Why the Name?

My passions are Travel and Paleontology. I have an old school paleontology site "fossilguy.com" that was started way back in 2000. Back then, when the internet was still kinda new, many people used handles instead of real names. Now my accounts, address, and phone number is linked to my handle fossilguy. So, instead of cloning myself or stealing a new identity, I decided to simply use "fossilguys travels" as the name of this travel site.
